TankArc uses biofuel cells to treat organic wastewater and recover useful electrical power. Naturally occurring microorganisms break down organic matter, reducing COD while releasing electrons that are captured by our 3D-printed electrodes as electrical current.

Unlike anaerobic digestion, which usually needs large tanks, longer treatment times, and gas handling, our technology is being developed as a compact, modular system that can recover electricity directly from wastewater.
